For election – or upgrading – to the level of Chartered Member, you need to hold either the Institute’s Advance Diploma, or an exempting qualification – usually an accredited degree – and have at least five years’ experience in logistics or transport, including at least two years at a senior level.
Some non-accredited degrees are acceptable with additional experience. Experienced logistics or transport professionals, who do not meet the standard academic requirements for Chartered Membership, but who can demonstrate that they broadly satisfy the Institute’s criteria have the option of having a professional interview via a Professional Entry Route. You will need to provide evidence of your experience by submitting a CV together with a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) plan.
